Checkout and payment
Our online store runs on the Shopify platform, which processes your order and payment details. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us directly.
How we use your data
- To process and deliver your order. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To check that the item you ordered is compatible with the laptop make and model you gave us at checkout. This information is used only for this compatibility check and is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To handle returns and questions. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting records for six years, as required by law. This is a legal obligation.
- To send marketing emails, only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve the website and prevent fraud. This is in our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the companies that help us run the business, including our e-commerce platform Shopify, payment providers and couriers. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep order and accounting records for six years to meet tax law. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred. Email info.msutrade@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
